Every harvest season, sugarcane farmers across India are left with tonnes of fibrous pulp after the juice is pressed out. For generations, the only answer was to set it on fire. The smoke would drift across villages for days. The land would sit, waiting.
We sat with farmers in Maharashtra and asked a different question. What if this waste became something worth keeping? What if it fed your table instead of choking the sky?
